New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is a garbage human being, period.
He’s a Democrat, so it’s easy to understand why he’s so awful.
But even for a Democrat, he’s a low-life, and not a very smart one, either.
Americans discovered today that what President Donald Trump has been saying for months now was true: We’d have a COVID-19 vaccine by Election Day.
Granted, we just found out today — two days after the media claimed Biden won the election — but mark our words, Pfizer, developer of the vaccine, knew it worked a week ago.
In any event, this should be cause for celebration.
Wall Street thinks so: As of Monday, the markets are up, up, up and that’s directly in response to the vaccine.
But then along comes that garbage human being, Andrew Cuomo, to blatantly politicize the new vaccine to score cheap, BS political points against Trump.
And in a way that, if people listen to him, they could die.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Cuomo — the guy who ordered COVID-19 patients into nursing homes, likely leading to thousands of needless deaths — suggested he would block the distribution of the vaccine.
In an interview with ‘Good Morning America’ on Monday morning, Cuomo blasted Trump’s vaccine plan as ‘flawed’ and went so far as to declare: ‘We can’t let this vaccination plan go forward the way that Trump and his administration is designing it.’
‘The bad news is that it’s about two months before Joe Biden takes over, and this means [the Trump] administration is going to be implementing a vaccine plan,’ Cuomo said.
Medical giant Pfizer announced overnight that their COVID-19 vaccine is more than 90 percent effective at fighting the infection, a major milestone in the global fight against the pandemic.
But Cuomo has repeatedly threatened to slow-roll the distribution of any vaccine developed under a Trump administration, claiming the process was ‘politicized’ and vowing to create a review board to double-check any federally approved treatment.
Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar blasted Cuomo for his irresponsible remarks.
‘It’s just absolutely unconscionable that somebody would want to delay a vaccine to the American people that’s safe and effective just for political partisan reasons,’ Azar said in an interview with Fox News.
We can’t recommend taking this vaccine one way or another because we zero medical and scientific data to do so.
That said, if Americans make the decision to take it, they should be permitted to do so.
Their option should not depend on a jerk from New York whose disdain for our president will, once again, get people killed.
